Predators try out new Under 10 rules !!

Tonight the predators try out the under 10's new rules for next season (for our first time we all did a great job).

Even though the local season has now finished we will continue to train on Wednesday up to the tour weekend when we will play our friends Narbeth.

We now need to practise the new rules during training and set the scene for next season. The main challenge is to start playing as a team and not as individuals. Players please note that Tony, Dave, Chris or I do not make the rules, they are set and reviewed each year by the Welsh Rugby Union.

I understand that you all have lots of passion and energy and we will try and tap into that over the next season, but we need to understand that a try is a try for the team and one player cannot win against an opposition of 10 will the same amount of energy as we have.

We still want to make the sessions as fun as possible, however it is essential for player safety that we are "rugby ready" at all times during games and training. i.e respectful of coaches, other players , parents and opposition teams, wearing the correct kit ( body armour, gum shields, scrum caps are all recommended )learn and listen as much as possible and most importantly keep safe by using the skills we passed on during the mini rugby years. Looking forward to tour Jon

Lucton Trip for predators is Cancelled !!

Sorry everyone but the Lucton trip this Sunday is cancelled, please note that some other age groups are still attending the tournament. Unfortunately the U9 catergory was over subscribed and we drew the short straw to be on the reserve list and no teams in this age group have dropped out. We will try and have an extra specail tour in the next few weeks.

We are training as normal this wednesday 6.30pm at underhill and we will be practising some new rules for next season including RUCKING !

Rugby at Underhill Park on SATURDAY..,BBQ HELP PLEASE!!!

Hi everyone on Saturday the 13th April we have a match against the touring visitors Bethesda...(NorthWales.).. We will be doing an on site BBQ and some catering, all proceeds will go to the much needed predators account. The park will be very busy as a few touring sides are down and also the first team have a cup match after our games finish, so any help from Mums & Dads, family to flip burgers / run the tuck shop would be very appreciated. ( No pressure to help but I will be taking notes ready for the Kangaroo Court this year on Tour !! lol)  Its 12.30pm lunchtime meet for the rugby. ( I will be on the park from 11.30 with any helpers !!) We hope to raise enough profits to pay for the players tour gear this year ! Even if you canot make the tour, as normal all players will receive any kit supplied !
